2009 Detroit Seminar
Dear Automotive Executives:
China Business Update (CBU) and China Automotive Review (CAR) is to present to you a special seminar on China and the Future of Global Auto Manufacturing to be held at 08:30-12:30 on January 14 in Room W2-63 at the Cobo Center during the 2009 North American International Auto Show (January 11-25, 2009).
China’s auto market has grown in leaps and bounds over the past 20 years, from annual sales of only 5,000 cars to this year's estimated five million. Today, China is the world’s 2nd largest automobile market after only the U.S.
With the rapid growth of China’s domestic market and the rise of independent Chinese automakers, China for the past two years has seen a significant expansion in the export of both whole vehicles and automotive parts and components. For the first time since 2006, the total value of China’s automotive exports has exceeded that of imports.
The 2009 NAIAS will see two companies from China showcasing their automobiles to the North American audience. BYD Auto, the world's second largest rechargeable battery manufacturer will have launched its F3DM (dual mode), a plug-in hybrid on December 15, 2008 in 14 Chinese cities, with a dirving range of 100 km at full charge, and is planning to launch a pure electric car, the e6, in June 2009. It will be BYD's second-year participation at the Detroit Motor Show. Brilliance Jinbei is one of China's first independent carmaker to have introduced the mid-level Zhonghua sedans to the China market.
As an attendee, you are guaranteed with the following benefits:
* Learn about the latest developments of China’s automobile market, its movers and shakers;
* Explore the future of global auto manufacturing and the role of China, especially in the area of new energy vehicles;
* Understand China's potential as a global player to better prepare for new challenges and opportunities;
* Meet top executives from Chinese OEM exhibitors at a unique networking event during the annual Detroit Motor Show.
If you feel you have not been rewarded with the above at the end of the seminar, CBU guarantees a 100% refund of your conference fees. As Conference Chair, I urge you not to miss this value-added high-level event.
