Dear Corporate Executives:

China’s auto market is at a turning point after 15 years of rocket-speed growth that has virtually changed the country of bicycles into a country of cars.

Until most recently, OEMs, suppliers, dealers, officials and analysts have been bullish about the future of the world’s largest market, predicting that annual sales would reach 30, 40 and even 50 million. But nobody had anticipated a negative growth in sales in the first six months of 2015. Harsh market realities are forcing executives to re-evaluate China’s future potential and make strategic adjustments in order to confront the upcoming challenges.

To help executives feel the pulse of China’s changing market on a regular basis, CBU/CAR will launch a Monthly Automotive Salon (MAS) starting October 2015. MAS will be held alternatively in Beijing/Shanghai on the evening of the 2rd Wednesday each month (3rd in case of national holiday).
