BEIJING – Arthur Liu, Vice President and Director of Operations of Shanghai e-Bus New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., has confirmed to speak at the 2011 Global Automotive Symposium® (GAS® 2011) and CBU’s 16th annual international conference, held by China Business Update/China Automotive Review.

GAS® 2011 will be held on April 20-21, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza Century Park Hotel in Shanghai, with a theme of Commercialization and Industrialization of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles: Global Development and China’s Experience. The event will be held right before Auto Shanghai 2011 (April 21-28), this year’s largest automotive trade show in China.

Liu is one of the core leaders at Shanghai e-Bus New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and is an advocate of its proprietary Battery Express Change System (BECS) for EV charging. Liu was in charge of constructing and operating China’s first such charging station in Beijing for the Olympic Games in 2008 and the world’s largest EV charging station – the Shanghai World Expo EV charging station with capability to charge 120 EVs. In addition, Liu was involved in the launch and operation of the electric bus charging/battery swap station for the No. 801 public transport route in Guangzhou, the largest EV charging station in South China. Liu is an expert in the commercialization, operation and strategic development of EV charging stations as well as interaction between EV manufacturers and charging stations.
