Chairmen of exhibiting China OEMs to speak at CBU seminar in Detroit

BEIJING - China Business Update/China Automotive Review will organize a half-day seminar on January 15, 2008 in Detroit during media days of the 2008 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The theme of the seminar is: China's Emerging Automobile Market.

For the first time in the history of NAIAS, five Chinese companies will exhibit at the annual trade event in Detroit next January. BYD Automobile Co., Ltd., China America Cooperative Automotive, Inc. (Chamco Auto) and Li Shi Guang Ming Automobile Design Co. will participate the annual Detroit event for the first time, while Geely and Changfeng Motor will make a return visit.

Top executives of exhibiting Chinese automakers, namely Li Jianxin, chairman of Changfeng Motor; Li Shufu, chairman of Geely Holding; Wang Chuanfu, chairman of BYD; and Bill Pollack, chairman of Chamco Auto, partner of Zhongxing Auto, have confirmed to speak at the seminar.

The half-day seminar will be held at the Sheraton Detroit Riverside Hotel (formerly Hotel Pontchartrain). The seminar is co-organized by auto.sohu.com and Detroit Chinese Business Association. Ward'sAuto.com is media sponsor for the high-level event.
