TIANJIN – Great Wall Motors Co., Ltd.’s new factory in Tianjin use more than 100 ABB robots on the assembly line of the Hover H6 assembly line.
In the welding shop at its Tianjin factory, 27 robots are adopted to enhance welding intensity and raise the shock resistance by 30 percent The assembly line adopts ABB’s Framer design which makes a precise position with error under 0.2 mm and models changed within 10 seconds.
The Hover H6 stamping section adopts a German digitally controled hydraulic pressure cushion and Switzerland’s Gudel manipulator arm, with a production of 14 pieces per minute, to guarantee precision and intensity. Advanced sound-proofing system is also applied to effectively reduce undesired noises.
Apart from ABB robots, high-end robots from Sweden, Japan, Italy, Switzerland and Spain are also used in the Tianjin plant to provide a high efficient, precise and environment-friendly production atmosphere.
