Auto sales up 13.54 percent in 2005

BeijingChina produced 5.7077 million units of automobiles in 2005, up 12.56 percent from that in 2004. Sales outpaced output by about 50,000 units to 5.7582 million units, up 13.54 percent, signaling a healthy reduction of inventory, according to statistics from CAAM.

CAAM predicts that China’s automobile market is to grow 10-15 percent in 2006 to between 6.4 and 6.6 million units. Lei Xing
