BEIJING – Lin Yi, Executive Director of BAIC New Energy Vehicle Co., Ltd., has confirmed to speak at the 2011 Global Automotive Symposium® and CBU’s 16th annual international conference in Shanghai.
GAS® 2011 will be held on April 20-21, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza Century Park Hotel in Shanghai, with a theme of Commercialization and Industrialization of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles: Global Development and China’s Experience. The event will be held right before Auto Shanghai 2011 (April 21-28), this year’s largest automotive trade show in China.
Lin also currently serves as deputy chief engineer of BAIC Group, deputy director of Beijing Automotive Technology Center, and party secretary of BAIC New Energy Vehicle. Before joining BAIC, Lin served as the dean of the Department of Automotive Engineering at Jilin University and executive deputy director of the National Engineering Laboratory for Electric Vehicles at Beijing Institute of Technology.
As BAIC’s management platform for R&D of new energy vehicle technology, BAIC New Energy Vehicle has set up a components R&D base and vehicle manufacturing base. It mainly engages in the research & development, production and sales of hybrid and pure electric vehicles, core components, charging systems and battery replacement systems.
