BEIJING – Beijing’s first-ever tour bus line officially began operating On September 28, according to a cnstock.com report.
The 12 buses that make up the route are all BEVs and designed in the style of Beijing’s early 20th century cable cars.
According to the report, the tour buses will need only 10-15 minutes to charge. “A driver needs only to wait the time it takes to go to the bathroom or sweep the bus for a full charge,” said one company representative. They will also have a range of 160-200 km. The lithium titanate batteries used in these models can go through charging cycles between 20,000 and 30,000 times.
The electric tour buses are provided by Zhuhai Yinlong NEV Co., Ltd., (Yinlong) a private company established in 2009. Its major products include batteries, electric control systems, air conditioners for vehicle use and new energy vehicles. Currently the company is able to produce over 20,000 units of different kinds of NEVs annually and has three manufacturing bases in Guangdong, Hebei and Anhui provinces.
