Beijing holds largest ever used vehicle auctio

Beijing – A used vehicle auction involving 113 vehicles was held at the Beifang (North) Auto Parts City in southwest Beijing on June 17.
This reportedly was the largest ever used vehicle auction held in the capital city.
The vehicles included popular models such as the Santana, Xiali, Jetta, Fookang, Sail, Alto and Buick as well as imported models. Most of these models are Customs confiscated, entrusted by original owners or trade-ins received by 4S dealers.
During the same weekend, the 2006 Certified Used Vehicle Exhibition was also held near a large shopping mall in the city. Shanghai-GM, FAW-Volkswagen, Dongfeng-Peugent-Citroën, Donfeng-Yueda-Kia and BMW exhibited their certified used cars under their respective used vehicle brands.
China’s used vehicle trade volume reached 1.45 million units last year, nearly six times the level in 2000. In the first four months of this year, about 540,000 used vehicles were exchanged across the nation.
