SHENYANG, Liaoning – Chinese automaker Brilliance Auto plans to launch a new brand Huasong in November, reported Internet Info Agency.
The first model the Huasong 7 MPV is likely to be unveiled at Auto Guangzhou 2014 to be held on November 20-29. The MPV is a higher class model than Brilliance’s Jinbei brand products.
The model will be powered by a BMW N20 engine, which rolled off the production line of Brilliance plant in June. The maximum power of the N20 engine mated with a 6-speed AMT in the vehicle’s two variants will be 150 kW and 178 kW respectively.
GM’s Buick GL8 and Honda’s Odyssey will be the main competitors of the Huasong 7, which probably has a starting price of ¥200,000 ($33,333).
