SHANGHAI – CAMC Hualing Automobile Co., Ltd., China’s 9th largest heavy-duty truck maker, signed a cooperation agreement with Bosch Automotive Diesel Systems Co., Ltd. based in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province on November 3 to develop a series of new diesel engines, platforms and after-treatment products that will comply with the upcoming State VI emissions standards.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection recently announced that the new State-VI emissions standards will be fully implemented from January 1, 2020 and new vehicles and engines that do not meet the new standards will be forbidden from production, sales and operation.
The new engine will integrate Bosch’s leading high pressure common rail system and after-treatment technology of “EGR+DOC+DPF+SCR+ASR” to help reduce fuel consumption by 5 percent. If the new Hanma CM6D30 60 new engine featuring HPD high power braking system is adopted, braking efficiency would increase more than 50 percent.
Both sides will research big database analytics at the basis of universal platform to provide much valuable application service for customers and furthermore enlarge cooperation in future self-driving technologies.
The demand of Hanma engine is rising and has reached total sales of 7,800 units with in-house application rate of over 75 percent. Sales in 2016 are predicted to reach 10,000 units and double next year.
