WUHU, Anhui – Chinese automaker Chery will debut its Riich G6, a multi-functional limousine, at the upcoming Shanghai international automobile exhibition in April, local media reports.
With dimensions of 7,254 mm x1,845 mm x1,526 mm, the Riich G6 has a long wheelbase of 5,106 mm. The model has received relevant government approval for registration and can be put into mass production, according to sources.
Equipped with Chery’s SQRE4T20 engine, the Riich G6 has a maximum displacement of 1.971L and peak power of 116 kW. Such engine is also adopted in models including the Riich Z5, the Rely V8 and the Rely V5 of the company.
At the Shanghai auto show, Chery will also be showcasing its latest sports car, the Z5, which has dimensions of 4,615 mm x1,821 mm x1,394 mm.
Chery, China’s largest independent carmaker, sold 682,100 vehicles in the country last year, up 36.33 percent compared with a year earlier, according to China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
