China recalls about 3 million vehicles in H1 2015

BEIJING – China recalled 2.93 million vehicles in 124 recall events in the first half of 2015, up 155 percent year-on-year, according to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ).

Among the total, 1.87 million vehicles were recalled as a result of  AQSIQ’s quality defect investigations, accounting for 64 percent of the total recalled vehicles.
