China sold 179,512 locally produced SUVs in November, according to the data released by China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
Combined sales of the top 10 SUVs in the month totaled 102,553 units, accounting for 57.12 percent of total SUV sales nationwide. The top 3 models were the Tiguan, Haval H6 and ix35.
The independent brands’ SUV sales dropped 12.12 percent month-on-month to 72,936 units, accounting for 40.63 percent of total SUV sales, down nearly 11 percentage points.
Great Wall Motor ranked No. 1 among the independent brands thanks to its hot-selling Haval series with combined sales of 26,635 units, about 3,000 units less than that in October.
