China’s A-class car sales up 29 percent in September

BEIJING – China’s locally produced A-class car sales in September rose 29 percent year-on-year to 647,385 units, accounting for 62.8 percent of the total car sales, according to CBU-Autostats.

Sales of top 10 A-class car models were 243,122 units, and took up 37.55 percent of the total segment sales in the month.

A total of 4,936,741 locally produced A-class cars were sold in the first nine months this year, up 22.2 percent year-on-year.

The combined sales of top 10 models were 1,839,716 units, accounting for 37.2 percent of the total sales. Shanghai-VW Lavida became the best-selling model during the period.
