China’s motor vehicle export volume down 10.57 percent in May

BEIJING— Export volume of China’s motor vehicles in May dropped 10.57 percent on a yearly basis to 131,310 units, according to CBU-Autostats.

Passenger vehicle export volume in the month reached 93,678 units, down 10.05 percent and commercial vehicles 37,632 units, down 11.82 percent.

Passenger car segment met the most serious drop of 22.36 percent year-on-year with the overseas sales of 32,557 units.

In the first five months, a total of 586,741 motor vehicles were exported by the country, up 7.02 percent compared to the same period of last year.
