China’s used vehicle sales up 15.25 percent in August

BEIJING— China’s used vehicle sales in August increased by 15.25 percent year-on-year to 442,300 units, with the transaction value of ¥ 23.619 billion ($3.859 billion) down 5.4 percent compared to July, according to data released by China Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) recently.

The combined sales for the first eight months of this year totaled 3,343,400 units, up 8.16 percent and the transaction value ¥182.213 billion, up 16.19 percent.

In August, the used vehicle transaction volume in South-central and Easter China were 126,200 and 106,300, taking the first and second position among the six regions of the country.

Guangdong Province, according to CADA’s data, remained the top spot by its used vehicle sales of about 560,000 units in the first eight months, followed by Sichuan Province and Beijing.
