BEIJING – Cummins has appointed Xiong Zhenhong as president of Dongfeng Cummins Engine Co., Ltd. and Yang Xiaodong president of Xi’an Cummins Engine Co., Ltd., according to a company news release on September 2.
Xiong has a bachelor degree of internal combustion engine from Wuhan University of Technology and MBA at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). Prior to the new appointment, Xiong served at John Deere China division responsible for the powertrain business including the production, logistics supply chain management, sales and marketing and aftersales services of engine, transmission and drive shaft, etc. Before that, he also held other key positions including president of Cummins Fuel Systems (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. (CFSW) as well as production and operation manager, purchasing director and material director at Dongfeng Cummins.
Yang has a bachelor degree of mechanical design and automation and a master degree in business management from the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE). Prior to the new appointment, Yang served as marketing director of heavy-duty engines at Cummins, where he has worked since 2006.
Wang Ning, former vice president of Cummins and president of Dongfeng Cummins, has been appointed vice president of Cummins and China chief of Cummins responsible for JV operations of the light-, medium- and heavy-duty engine business. He is fully responsible for the overall operation of Cummins’ JVs in China.
Huang Haitao, former president of Xi’an Cummins, has been appointed marketing president of the light-, medium- and heavy-duty engine business of Cummins China. He is fully responsible for the sales and marketing of light commercial vehicles, medium- and heavy-duty trucks, buses and engines.
