SHIYAN, Hubei – Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co. (DFCV) said at its 2010 Commercial Conference on December 24, 2010 that it expects total vehicle sales in 2010 to hit a record 300,000 units.
That will solidify DFCV as China’s largest medium and heavy-duty truck maker in terms of sales volume. In the first 11 months of 2010, it sold 232,000 medium and heavy-duty trucks, up 65 percent from the same period of 2009. In the medium and heavy-duty truck sectors, it ranks first and second, respectively.
DFCV has enjoyed crisp sales thanks to its flagship Kinland heavy-duty truck and the Kinrun medium truck models, which are expected to see sales top 95,000 and 30,000 units, respectively.
Dongfeng Liuzhou, a manufacturing subsidiary of DFCV based in Liuzhou of southwest China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is expected to sell more than 100,000 medium and heavy-duty trucks in 2010.
DFCV is the commercial vehicle subsidiary of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. (DFL), China’s largest Sino-Foreign vehicle joint venture established in 2003.
