Dealer inventory ratio increases to 1.53 in May

BEIJING – Average inventory ratio of Chinese automobile dealers in May 2014 increase 0.01 to 1.53 compared to April, down 0.05 year-on-year, according to data released by China Automobile Dealers Association (CADA).

In May, average inventory ratio of Chinese and joint venture brands was 2.18 and 1.46, up 0.06 and 0.03 month-on-month, while that of imported brands was up 0.08 to 2.3.

Of the 55 surveyed brands, JLR and Chang’an-Suzuki exceeded the alert line of 2.5.
