SHANGHAI – Yang Xiaoming, general manager of Delphi connector system and the Asia-Pacific, Central Electrical Products business unit, was appointed president of its China operations, according to a company release on March 7.
Yang, a veteran engineer, will continue to hold his present post.
“China is important to Delphi’s global operations. Dr. Yang Xiaoming has 19 years of industry experience and I believe Yang will help Delphi’s further development in China as well as improve its services,” said Majdi Abulaban, senior vice president of Delphi Global, president of Delphi Electrical/Electronic Architecture and president of Delphi Asia Pacific.
Yang joined Delphi in U.S. in June 1995 and served as automotive connector designing engineer. Yang held many posts in Delphi, including production manager, manufacturing director and engineering director. In 2003, Yang was transferred to Shanghai office to take charge of the foundation of Delphi’s technology center and manufacturing base for Asia-Pacific region in Shanghai. Later, Yang served as general manager of Delphi connector system Asia & Pacific, president of the Shanghai plant, and director of Delphi connector system global mold unit. Yang was appointed general manager of Delphi connector system and the Asia-Pacific, Central Electrical Products business unit in 2008, responsible for sales, engineering, operating and financing in China, South Korea, Japan, India and ASEAN.
