LIUZHOU, Guangxi – Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd., inaugurated the first phase of its passenger vehicle facility in Liuzhou, Guangxi Autonomous Region at its 60th anniversary celebration on July 9.
The event also celebrated the rolling off of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor’s first passenger car, the Joyear S50, and the groundbreaking of its B+ engine plant.
The automaker has planned to invest a total of ¥6 billion ($960.6 million) in building a passenger vehicle facility, a commercial vehicle plant, an R&D center, and an engine plant in Liudong New District of Liuzhou city.
Investment in the first phase of the new passenger vehicle facility has reached ¥1.89 billion. Planned output capacity of the passenger vehicle facility is 400,000 units. The commercial vehicle plant will have a production capacity of 100,000 units when it is completed.
