FAW-Volkswagen rolls off Audi A6L e-tron plug-in hybrid

CHANGCHUN, Jilin – FAW-Volkswagen officially began production of the Audi A6L e-tron plug-in hybrid on October 21 as the first new energy vehicle produced by the joint venture. The model is expected to hit the market in November.

The new vehicle uses the new front fog lamp combination and grille design with the e-tron logo on the front fender to distinguish it from the Audi A6L.

It can reach a top speed of 135 km/h under pure electric mode with a range of 50 km and a combined range of 880 km.

Although its curb weight is 2,000 kg, the Audi A6L e-tron is still able to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 8.4 seconds, with a top speed of 210 km/h under combined conditions. Fuel consumption is rated at only 2.2L/100 km.

The Audi A6L e-tron debuted at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show.
