CHANGCHUN, Jilin – FAW Group moved forward to rank 385 on Fortune magazine’s 2007 Fortune Global 500, with $18.7 billion in annual revenue, according to the company’s news release.
This is the third consecutive year that the company has appeared on the list. In the past two years, FAW Group realized $13.825 billion and $14.511 billion in revenues, ranking 448 and 470 respectively.
Another Chinese automobile giant Shanghai Automobile Industry Corp. (SAIC) achieved $18.0 billion, ranking 402 this year. This is also the third time for the Shanghai-based automaker to make the list. SAIC took $11.754 billion and $14.365 billion in annual revenues in 2004 and 2006, ranking 461 and 475 respectively.
A total of 33 automobile enterprises appear on this year’s Global 500 list. General Motors, Toyota Motor and DaimlerChrysler take the lead and rank five, six and eight, with annual revenues of $207.35 billion, $204.75 million and $190.20 billion respectively.
The Fortune Global 500 is a ranking of the top 500 corporations worldwide based on annual revenue. The list is compiled and published annually by Fortune magazine.
