February sales of Korean B-class cars down 23.7 percent in China

BEIJING— February sales of Korean brands’ locally produced B-class cars in China dropped 23.7 percent on a yearly basis to 10,911 units, their market share was 9.2 percent, down 1.6 percentage points.

Beijing-Hyundai sales in the segment were 7,175 units, down 32.4 percent, but those of Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia rose 1.8 percent to 3,736 units.

The combined sales of the brands for the first two months reached 27,941 units, down 3.8 percent year-on-year.

Beijing-Hyundai sales during the period were 19,466 units, down 11.6 percent and Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia 8,475 units, up 20.4 percent.
