Ford wholesales in China up 19 percent in January

SHANGHAI – Ford Motor and its joint venture wholesales in China in January rose 19.2 percent year-on-year to record 112,599 vehicles, according to a company news release.

Ford’s China passenger vehicle joint venture Chang’an-Ford sold 83,225 vehicles in January, up 18.8 percent.

Sales of Ford imported cars including the Explorer, Edge, Focus ST, Fiesta ST and Mustang totaled 3,015 units in the first month, an increase of 18 percent from the previous year.

Jiangling Motors Co., Ltd. (JMC), Ford’s commercial vehicle investment in China, achieved sales of 26,359 vehicles, a growth of 21 percent.
