GM and Ford sales increase in H1 in China

Beijing—General Motor and Ford Motor, two American brands operating in China, realized a sales growth for the first half of 2013 in China, according to the companies news released recently.

During the period, GM and its joint venture sales reached 1,567,392 units, up 10.6 percent year-on-year and Ford 407,721 units, up 47 percent.

In June, GM brand sales also set a new record of 236,207 units with an increase of 10.6 percent, and those of Ford rose 44 percent to 75,254 units.

It is worth mentioning that combined sales of locally produced Ford Kuga, launched into market in February this year, came up to 37,412 units.
