GM and Ford set new sales record for May in China

Beijing—General Motor and Ford Motor, two American brands operating in China, set new sales record for May in China, according to the companies news released recently.

In the month, GM and its joint venture sales reached 252,942 units, up 9.4 percent year-on-year and Ford 70,540 units, up 45 percent.

In the first five months, GM brand sales also set a new record of 1,331,185 units with an increase of 10.6 percent, and those of Ford rose 71 percent to 231,818 units.

It is worth mentioning that Buick Excelle and Ford sales reached 24,756 units and 27,345 units in May.
