BEIJING – The Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Transport released the Road Drop and Pull Transport Trial Funds Management Measures recently to subsidize road drop and pull transport trial projects with a maximum ¥10 million ($1.59 million) subsidy, reported Shanghai Securities News.
Projects with investments of or above ¥100 million will receive a maximum of ¥10 million fixed subsidy per project.
Projects with investments of less than ¥100 million will be subsidized in proportion. For example, building and modification of drop and pull operation field, and purchase of new or refit of existing tractors will receive a 10 percent subsidy of the total investments. Purchase and refit of trailers can receive a 20 percent subsidy with each project receiving a maximum of ¥10 million.
The Ministry of Transport released the first batch of recommended road drop and pull models at the beginning of this year. Sixteen models from 11 domestic enterprises, such as Dongfeng, CNHTC and SAIC, are among the subsidy list.
More heavy-duty truck makers will benefit from this subsidy policy, said industrial analysts.
