ANHUI – China’s Jianghuai Automotive Co. (JAC) reported a 17.05 percent year-on-year increase in auto sales to 148,400 units in the first quarter this year, reported caihuanet.com.
The company produced 144,700 units in the first three months, up 15.51 percent from a year earlier. Auto export reached 14,500 units in the first quarter, a 213.61 percent growth compared with last year.
The Hefei based carmaker produced 55,300 vehicles and sold 55,600 units in March.
Sales of heavy-duty trucks of JAC rose 61.64 percent year-on-year to 3,847 units in March, while auto sales rose 26.37 percent to 16,800 units compared with the same period in 2010.
