CHONGQING – Chang’an Automobile Co., Ltd. (Chang’an Auto) has appointed Jiang Aiqun, former director of the president’s office and press secretary, as director of newly established brand and PR department, responsible for corporate brand publicity, according to an Internet Info Agency report on August 19.
The former brand marketing department of Chang’an Auto has been divided into two departments: brand and PR department and product planning department, the report said.
Tan Benhong, former marketing director at the company, will take the post of director of product planning department.
According to data released by the company, Chang’an Auto sold 392,000 vehicles in the first half of 2014, a rise of 43.4 percent on a yearly basis. The company has a goal of selling 600,000 passenger vehicles in 2014, a year-on-year growth of 60 percent.
