July sales of American brands’ B-class cars up 27.8 percent

BEIJING— July sales of American brands’ locally produced B-class cars in China increased by 27.8 percent year-on-year to 24,756 units, and their market share was 15.7 percent, up 2.4 percentage points.

Shanghai-GM sales in this segment for the month reached 23,636 units, up 61.5 percent.

In the first seven months of this year, the combined sales of American brands in the segment were 198,151 units, up 28.5 percent, and the market share was up by 2.4 percentage points to 17.3 percent.

Shanghai-GM sales during the period in the segment were 170,316 units, up 44.7 percent.
