BEIJING – Construction of EV charging facilities, including charging poles, charging and battery swap stations and inter-city fast charging stations, should be accelerated in China, said Premier Li Keqiang at the State Council executive meeting on September 23.
All parking lots in newly built departments and residences should be equipped with charging poles. There should be charging facilities at 10 percent at least of public parking lots and parking spaces in massive public buildings.
Building charging facilities at existing private parking lots should be encouraged.
The government will support charging facility and parking lots construction through corporate bond and special fund and allow service providers to charge for vehicle charging.
