BEIJING – The Ministry of Finance (MOF) issued a notice on subsidizing local green projects on its website on March 4, including subsidy details on transportation energy-saving and emissions reduction projects, pilot projects of road trailer transportation, and scrapping and upgrading projects of old and used vehicles.
Projects of transportation energy-saving and emissions reduction include green transportation provinces, cities, equipment (natural gas ships and vehicles), roads, harbors, and power construction projects.
Road trailer transportation pilot projects include multimodal transport trailer, enterprise appliance trailer, network trailer, trunk line transportation trailer and city delivery trailer projects and other pilot programs that fit the theme of green development.
Old vehicle scrapping and upgrading subsidy projects include semi-trailer with service time of or over 10 years (not achieving design working life); heavy-duty load trucks with weigh over 12,000 kg (including normal trucks, vans, box trucks, closed vans, tankers, flat trucks, container trucks, self-dumpers, special construction trucks, etc.), and medium load trucks with weigh of or over 10,000 kg and less than 12,000 kg.
Dangerous goods transportation semi-trailers with service time of or over eight years and less than 10 years, dangerous goods transportation heavy-duty trucks weigh over 12,000 kg (including 12,000 kg), and medium dangerous goods transportation load trucks that weigh over 10,000 kg (including 10,000 kg) and less than 12,000 kg are also included in the scrapping and upgrading subsidy program.
All the aforementioned vehicles should be handed over to vehicle scrapping enterprises from January 1 to December 31, 2015 to receive the subsidy.
Trailers and semi-trailers without powerplants are not included in the above subsidy projects.
The subsidy for semi-trailers and heavy-duty load trucks will be ¥18,000 ($2,903)/vehicle and ¥13,000/vehicle for medium load trucks.
