Mercedes-Benz unveils two new aftersales maintenance initiatives

HANGZHOU, Zhejiang – Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service Co., Ltd. (BMBS) held official press launch for the expanded Star Maintenance Menu while debuting its newest product offering the Blue Light Card in Hangzhou on May 18, gearing up for the summer with the two new additions to its aftersales portfolio.

“We believe that customer care should form an integral part of the ownership experience, which we embed into the world of modern luxury which our brand stands for,” said Marc-Oliver Nandy, executive vice president for aftersales at BMBS. “With both the newly-created Blue Light Card and our expanded Star Maintenance Menu, we are excited to take our customer care to new heights while offering even more value for money. Both product offerings will bring our customers more transparent, simple and attractive maintenance service and continue our customer-oriented strategy.”

As an entirely new aftersales product, the Blue Light Card is available to customers whose Mercedes-Benz vehicle has completed its first three-year warranty cycle. Upon purchasing the Card, customers are eligible for maintenance services at more attractive price levels across their Service A and B package cycles, which are offered in three variants – 1A+1B, 2A+2B, and 3A+3B.

These savings can also be combined with Star Maintenance Menu reductions, allowing customers to enjoy outstanding value and a reduced cost of ownership through the transparent pricing of the Star Maintenance Menu and the additional loyalty award of the Blue Light Card.

The Star Maintenance Menu has been expanded to include 26 new models, bringing the total scope of coverage to 76 models across 12 model series. This amounts to 80 percent of the entire Mercedes-Benz portfolio, offering unprecedented flexibility and customer choice. Moreover, alongside expanded vehicle coverage, new services have also been added, including V-belt maintenance, battery-related work, and air conditioning cleaning service.
