Mitsubishi Fuso recalls imported Rosa light vans

Beijing — Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corp. recently submitted an application to the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine for the recall of the Rosa light van, due to a defective transmission gear rod, according to a report on chinabuses.com.
The recall involves 12 units of the BC432E version of the model produced between August 4, 1995 and October 22, 1996 and 56 units of the BE439F version produced between June 14, 1996 and June 4, 1997.
The defect is caused by a design error that makes the outer cover of the ball joint of the second gear control rod not durable enough and liable to break in the process of gear shifting.
Owners will be notified of the recall and a complimentary check up.
