Over 10,000 NEVs produced in China in September

BEIJING – China produced 10,113 units of new energy vehicles in September, nearly a 1,100 percent increase from 2013, according to data released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on October 14.

Of the total, a full 56 percent of new energy vehicles were models in the central government’s tax exemption catalogue.

Below is the MIIT output data for September and for January through September, broken down by model type and engine type. The units are single vehicles.
