Over 1.88 million vehicles recalled in China through October

BEIJING – China recalled a total of 1,881,577 vehicles in the first 10 months this year through 66 recalls which were announced by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), reported auto.chinanews.com.

These recalled vehicles involved 31 brands from 20 automakers. Honda ranked No. 1 with 408,069 vehicles recalled during the period, followed by Volkswagen and Suzuki. Of these 20 automakers, only four are Chinese manufacturers.

Main defects on the recalled vehicles were concentrated in engines, suspension and brake systems, drive system and electronics.
