Sales of German brands’ A-class cars up 37.3 percent in October

BEIJING – October sales of German brands’ locally produced A-class cars rose 37.3 percent on a year basis to 159,083 units, and the market share was up by 2.2 percentage points to 25.5 percent.

Shanghai-Volkswagen sales in the segment were 85,428 units, up 77.4 percent and FAW-Volkswagen 73,655 units, up 8.8 percent.

In the first ten months of this year, combined sales of German brands in the segment came up to 1,381,604 units, up 32.5 percent, and their market share was up by 1.9 percentage points to 24.8 percent.
