Sales of Korean brands’ B-class cars up 6.7 percent in October

BEIJING – October sales of Korean brands’ locally produced B-class cars rose 6.7 percent on a yearly basis to 15,383 units, and their market share was down by 0.5 percentage points to 8.6 percent.

Sales of Beijing-Hyundai in the segment were 10,237 units, up 11.5 percent, and those of Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia dropped 1.8 percent to 5,146 units.

In the first ten months of this year, the combined sales of Korean brands in the segment came up to 146,316 units, up 5.2 percent, and their market share was also down by 0.4 percentage point to 8.7 percent.

Beijing-Hyundai sales were 100,134 units, up 6.4 percent and Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia 46,134 units, up 2.8 percent.
