September sales of American brands’ B-class cars up 1.1 percent

BEIJING – September sales of American brands’ locally produced B-class cars in China increased by 1.1 percent year-on-year to 32,883 units, and their market share was 18.5 percent, down 1.5 percentage points.

Shanghai-GM sales in this segment for the month reached 22,027 units, down 15.9 percent.

In the first nine months of this year, the combined sales of American brands in the segment were 260,754 units, up 22 percent, and the market share was up by 1.2 percentage points to 17.5 percent.

Shanghai-GM sales during the period in the segment were 217,943 units, up 31.1 percent.
