September sales of French brands’ A-class cars up 1.5 percent in China

BEIJING – September sales of French brands’ locally produced A-class cars in China rose 1.5 percent on a yearly basis to 25,380 units, and their market share was down by 1 percentage point to 3.9 percent.

Citroën and Peugeot sales in the segment were 17,868 and 7,512 units, up 6.8 and down 9 percent.

In the first nine months of this year, the combined sales of French brands in the segment were 222,045 units, up 17.9 percent with the market share of 4.5 percent.

Citroën sales during the period were 153,273 units, up 24.9 percent and Peugeot 67,772 units, up 3.2 percent.
