BEIJING – Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Corp. (JAC) is aiming at the second family car market which is considerably big for electric vehicles, according to She Cairong, vice president of JAC.
She told CBU/CAR that families of government officials are ready to have their second cars, one for outing activities during the weekends and one for daily use in the urban city.
“They are very interested in electric cars (as the second family car). We are focusing on not only the taxi fleet market but also this family second car market, which is a very big one,” he said.
According to She, JAC’s electric vehicles account for 20 percent of the 8,000 new energy vehicles amid China’s NEV pilot cities.
“All of our new energy vehicles are undergoing complete commercial operations,” he added.
