BEIJING – Techrules will launch its limited edition range-extended super electric racing car TREV at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, according to an announcement by Techrules Automobile R&D Co., Ltd. recently in Beijing.
To ensure its launch, the company has signed contracts with Giorgetto Giugiaro and Fabrizio Giugiaro, two renowned vehicle designers, and engineering supplier LM Gianetti for vehicle design and building.
TREV (Turbine-Recharging Electric Vehicle) made its global debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.
“The TREV system is a perfect combination of micro turbine and electric vehicle technologies,” said Techrules founder and CEO William Jin. The model is highly efficient, produces very low emissions and provides an optimal charging solution for electric vehicles, according to Jin.
Aviation turbine is equipped on the electric vehicle to power engine and charge batteries at all times. A micro-turbine spinning at 96,000 rpm can achieve a super long range and optimal eco-friendly effect. The use of aviation kerosene can greatly reduce battery pack size and lightens the vehicle.
The cooperative agreements aim to build and launch the GT96 super racing cars next year.
