Tesla sets up payment plans in China

Tesla is now cooperating with China Merchants Bank in setting up payment plans for Chinese buyers, according to a D1EV report. The agreement took effect on June 3rd, and will allow for payment plans lasting up to four years, with a minimum down payment of 30 percent.

Tesla currently sells three versions of its Model S in China. The 60kWh model sells at ¥648,000 ($103,000); and the 85kWh and 85kWh Performance begin at ¥734,000 ($117,000) and ¥852,500 ($136,000), respectively.
