BEIJING – The top 10 nameplates accounted for a fifth of China’s total passenger vehicle (passenger car, SUV and MPV) registrations (excluding imports) in the first 11 months of 2014, according to data compiled by CBU Analytics.
The top 10 nameplates (see chart below) had combined registrations of 2.9 million units through November.
Four out of the top 10 nameplates were German brands, while three belonged to U.S. brands. Korean, Japanese and Chinese brands each took one spot in the top 10. All nameplates in the top 10 were passenger cars except the Haval H6 SUV.
