SANMING, Fujian – The medium and heavy-duty truck factory of Fujian Haixi Auto Co., Ltd. (Haixi Auto), a subsidiary of China National Heavy-Duty Truck Group Corp. (CNHTC or Sinotruk), is soon to be finished, according to a report published in Fujian Daily.
“The facility was started on March 8 this year and the first truck Fu Le is scheduled to be rolled off production line on September 8, 2011,” said Peng Qingxiang, chairman and general manager of Haixi Auto. “The plant will be officially completed and start mass production by the end of December this year.”
The project received a total investment of ¥2 billion ($303 million). At a cost of ¥1 billion of funds, the company expects for an annual production capacity of 100,000 units after the first-stage construction is finished with annual output value exceeding ¥10 billion. By 2015, it will be able to produce 200,000 whole vehicles per year, raking in output value of ¥30 billion.
Haixi Auto was founded in December 2010 with a total investment of ¥2 billion through the restructuring between CNHTC and Fujian Fudi Auto Co., Ltd.
