Volvo Cars’ sales in China up 47.8 percent in July

Volvo Cars sales rose to 6,858 vehicles in July in China, up 47.8 percent compared with the same period of last year, according to a company news release.

The Volvo S60L sedan was the main growth driver, while the Volvo XC60 crossover was the best-selling model.

China retains its position as Volvo Cars’ largest market. The carmaker’s global retail sales were 36,438 cars in July, up 8.3 percent.

The United States became Volvo Cars’ second largest market in July with 4,897 retail sold cars.
