Volvo China February sales up 7.7 percent

THENBURG, Sweden –Volvo Cars reported a 7.7 percent sales increase in China to a total of 4,812 cars in February with the XC60 Crossover being the best-selling model, according to a company news release.

The company sold 10,691 vehicles in the first two months in China, an increase of 3.7 percent from the previous year. Volvo Cars’ global sales reached 29,980 cars in February, up 0.1 percent year-on-year.

“The good momentum continues and we are very pleased by the extremely positive reception of the all-new Volvo XC90,” said Alain Visser, senior vice president of marketing, sales and customer service at Volvo Cars. “We already have more than 18,000 pre-orders for the XC90 so we look forward to delivering the first cars to customers during the spring.”
