Volvo recalls 332 import Volvo tractors in mainland China

BEIJING – Volvo (China) Investment Co., Ltd. started to recall 332 units of imported FH and FM tractor trucks of 2014 version in mainland China on November 30, according to information from the Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ).

Trucks involved in this recall were produced between September 25, 2013 and August 29, 2016, including 18 units of FH420, 233 units of FH460, 72 units of FH500, 8 units of FH540, 1 unit of FM460.

Some of the recalled vehicles have design defects in the lighting facility inside the cab and if worked under humid or dusty environment for too long, there might be a risk of lighting equipment short circuit and burning down of printed circuit board (PCB). Volvo (China) Investment Co., Ltd. will retrofit wiring harness with safety devices for those defected vehicles.
